FAQ

Straight answers before you buy leads.

PermitPub is built for reps who want fresh, buyable signals. Here is how freshness, guarantees, CSV delivery, market coverage, and subscriptions work.

How fresh are the leads?

PermitPub is built around current public permit inventory, not dusty historical dumps. The buyer tools focus on a fresh working window so reps can act while the project still matters.

What if a lead is stale, duplicate, or unusable?

Tell us. If a purchased lead is stale, duplicate, or unusable, we replace it or credit your account.

Do you guarantee sales?

No. Nobody can honestly guarantee a closed sale from public permit data. We guarantee the quality standard of the data we sell, not the outcome of your pitch, timing, or follow-up.

What do I get after checkout?

Use the same email for your PermitPub account and Stripe checkout. Packs create a fixed CSV snapshot. Monthly access unlocks current records in the member area so you can download a fresh CSV.

Are exact addresses public before purchase?

No. Public pages show market-level inventory, summaries, and preview fields. Exact addresses, source links, exports, and paid map details unlock after purchase.

Do all leads include phone numbers?

No. Not every permit or license record has a phone number in the public source. When available, PermitPub includes contact fields, but the core value is the timing signal, location, source context, and field-sales workflow.

Do all leads include emails?

No. Public permit, license, registration, and sales-tax sources rarely include a clean decision-maker email. Use PermitPub for fresh timing, location, project context, source records, and route planning. Treat email as a bonus field when it exists.

Do all leads include addresses?

Most buyable building-permit records include a project or business location, but not every source exposes a clean mappable address. Records that cannot be mapped can still carry useful market, timing, source, and category signals.

Can I export to CSV?

Yes. Live Lead Inventory purchases create a fixed CSV snapshot. Monthly access lets you download the current feed included with the plan from the member area.

Can I map leads for field sales?

Yes, when records include usable address or coordinate data. Purchased leads can show map pins, per-lead map links, and route-map tools for field planning.

Why are some markets light?

Some public sources are smaller, newer, slower to update, or more selective than major-city feeds. Light markets are still sellable when records are live, but they are better for exact Live Lead Inventory purchases than a big monthly commitment.

Why do some markets show zero leads?

A zero market means coverage is being tracked or built, but there are not enough qualified buyable records to sell. Those pages should ask for a market request or notification, not push a checkout.

Can I request a market?

Yes. Use Request a Market from Areas We Cover. Requests help us decide which city, county, state, or source should move up the crawl and qualification queue.

What is exclusive access?

Standard access is shared so prices stay workable for street-level reps. If you want market protection, city/category locks, or a private territory, request Exclusive Access for a custom quote.

Can I cancel monthly access?

Monthly access is handled through Stripe. If you need help with billing, cancellation, or a wrong-plan purchase, contact support with the email used at checkout.

Can you add my city or data source?

Yes. Request a market if you want a city moved up the board. For sources beyond building permits, request a custom data feed and we will quote it if the source is publicly crawlable.
